BIRTHDAY PRESENT IDEAS FOR A 2 YEAR OLD BOY

Finding the perfect gift for 2 year old or for their little friends can be a delightful challenge.  Their little personalities are starting to shine through. That makes it even more fun to sort through catalogues and online sites as you hunt for the perfect pressie for the 2 year old in your world.

At Christmas when I was talking about how easy it was to go nuts and buy too much stuff, a friend told me a good rule to go by is:

Something they want, Something they need, something to wear and Something to read.

We went light on this year as we knew we were about to embark on our epic family adventure of the year in the caravan.  So from us he got a scooter, some schleich animals – which I used on his cake, a book and a toothbrush.  My man thought I was mad on the toothbrush – but let me tell you, it’s been a total game changer in making teeth cleaning more enjoyable, so I’ll take that as a win!  That was one of those “you’re going to get it anyway, but it’s your birthday next week so I’ll wrap it up” presents.
Reading is just getting fun in our house and it’s only recently my son will sit and listen to stories in the day time – which I am loving!  We ordered a personalised book “The little boy who lost his name”  for his 2nd birthday and it’s really cute.  I love that we could have a personalised inscription in the front to make it even more special for him as he grows into it.  We had a hot tip before buying it to just do his first name otherwise it can end up like war and peace!

Aside from being spoilt by us, his little mates totally spoilt him with really cool fun toys.  Much more fun than the practical stuff mum and dad got him!
